The Park Near My House

People have memories that are sparked by many situations. Places often make people remember experience from the past. Many places hold memories for me: the sea, school, and park. One particular place that reminds me of my childhood is Taman Sentosa Park which is at my hometown.

            Taman Sentosa Park is located in front of the house where I grew up; the trees were planted neatly along the road with some colourful flowers. Along the road, there were also provided some red benches for people to rest and in the middle of the park was a lake. The lake water is clear, so you can saw many difference varieties of fish swimming freely there. Near the lake, there had a castle design playground. Due to the park is near my house so I could see the park from my room. Every day when I viewed out from my room window, I could see difference scene like a cute child who was holding his small hand with his parents; a group of people who were practiced Tai Ji with their slowly movement body and some of the children who played with joyful at the playground.  During some special festival like Kite Festival, the park was crowded by many people and you can saw many kite is on the blue sky with difference shape and colours.

Almost every day I spent my time at the park because I enjoy the ambience of the park. It let me calm down and release my pressure because the ambience in the park was full of pleasure. When I was sad, I liked went to the lakeside and sat at the lawn alone, listened the wind blow slowly and passed by my ear. The lake water flow quietly and bird was twittered on the tree, it seem liked they try to console me. Sometimes, I will bring my sketchpad and recorded down the scene of the lake like the orange colour of the sunset, the shaggy duck and people who were at the lakeside. I was a member of photographer in school so sometimes I will found my inspirations from the park and I was enjoyed take down the story of the park with my camera too.

            When I was a child, I liked went to the playground with my friends. In the playground, it was full of happy voice and I was very enjoyed when I was at the playground because I can have many activities with my friends like Hide and Seek, built sand castle or played the playground equipment. In addition, making a pit also was one of the activities which was very attracted me. We made pits in many places, such as in the sandbox or in the soccer court, but the most fun and dangerous place we made a pit was under the slide. It was such a nice place because someone who used the slide would absolutely be caught by our trap. The next morning, before we went to elementary school, we would gather at that place to check our trap. If there was some evidence that someone had been caught, we will felt proud to our trap and this make us felt happy. That is one of my good memories of childhood’s tricks.

            Life is like a movie which narrates your past experience. From the fast moving society, everything is going very fast and it also includes our life. Every people or event we met in our daily become special and unchangeable. Hence, why don’t we try to take a picture in the place which is memorable to you?
